Your school decides, not us. A school signs up for Managit and chooses who has an account, what work is recorded, and who reports to whom. We hold that information on the school's behalf and act on its instructions.
If you are a member of staff and want your details corrected or removed, ask your school first — an Administrator there can change or remove them directly. We will always help a school do that, but we do not change a school's records on our own initiative.
What is held
Only what the product needs to show the right work to the right person.

What is never collected
- Your location. The app never asks for it and contains no code that reads it.
- Your contacts, photo library, calendar or microphone. A photograph reaches Managit only when you choose to attach one.
- Any advertising identifier. Nothing here is used for advertising, and nothing is sold.
- Analytics or tracking of any kind. There is no analytics service, no tracking pixel and no third-party tracking script in the app.
- Student marks, parent contact details or fees. Managit records staff and their work. It is not a student information system.
Who can see it
Every record belongs to one school, and the database enforces that separation itself — a person signed in at one school cannot read another school's records even if something in the software went wrong. Within a school, what you see depends on your role: most staff see their own work and their team's; an Administrator sees the school.
We do not sell information, and we do not share it with anyone for advertising.
Who else handles it
Managit runs on services that necessarily process some of this information on our behalf:
- Supabase — hosts the database, files and sign-in system.
- Apple and Google — deliver push notifications to a phone that has the app installed. They receive the notification and its destination, not your records.
- Meta (WhatsApp) — delivers WhatsApp reminders, where a school has recorded a number and permission.
- Resend — sends system email such as a password link.
- Vercel — serves this website and the application.
How long it is kept
- Sign-in times: 90 days, then deleted automatically.
- A count of days used: kept while the school is a customer. This is a number, not a history — it records how many days you have opened Managit, never which days, so it cannot be used to work out where somebody was on a particular date.
- Notification tokens: removed after six months without use.
- Everything else: for as long as the school is a customer. When a school leaves, its records are removed at its request.
What you can choose
- Notifications. The app asks once. If you decline, Managit still works — you simply are not notified on that phone. You can change it later in your phone's settings.
- WhatsApp reminders. Sent only where a school has recorded a number and permission, and can be withdrawn by asking your school.
- Taking your data out. Any school can export its own records to Excel or PDF at any time, without asking us.
Deleting your account
Your Managit login is issued by your school, so your school removes it. You can ask from inside the app: open your account (your initials, top right) and choose Request account deletion. Your school's Administrator sees the request in People & roles and removes you. You do not need to contact us, and your school can also do this without a request from you.
- What is removed: your login, your phone number, your WhatsApp permission, your email address and any notification tokens for your devices.
- What stays: the tasks, reports, checklists and approvals you took part in, with your name on them, as your school's own records. They belong to the school in the same way a signed register does.
- How long it takes: the removal is immediate once the Administrator acts. Sign-in times expire on their own within 90 days.
If your school no longer uses Managit and you cannot reach an Administrator, write to ops@managit.in and we will remove the login ourselves.
Children
Managit is for school staff at work. It is not intended for children and holds no student records.
Security
Information travels encrypted between your device and our servers, and is stored on Supabase's managed infrastructure. Separation between schools is enforced by the database itself rather than by application code alone. No system is perfect; if something goes wrong that affects a school's information, we will tell that school.
Changes
If this page changes in a way that matters, the date below changes with it and schools are told.
